Culver, a Connecticut native, graduated with his BA in 1974 from Yale University and then went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree in 1978 from the University of Connecticut School of Law. After receiving his college degrees, Culver entered the world of law and became a law partner at one of the largest law firms in Connecticut at Pullman & Comley LLC. In 1992, Culver transitioned into the financial industry and became the Founder and Presidents of Sachem Trust in Greenwich, CT. Following 4 years at Sachem Trust, Culver took on a new position as the President of State Street Bank & Trust Company of Connecticut in 1996.
After 7 years of service at State Street Bank & Trust Company of Connecticut, Culver accepted a position as the Senior Wealth Director at BNY Mellon in 2003, which is a large American worldwide banking and financial services corporation based in New York City. As the Senior Wealth Director, he helped clients develop financial objectives with sophisticated strategies to minimize investment risks. He’s been recognized by BNY Mellon on numerous occasions and earned Chairman’s Circle status three times at the company, which is an honor that’s designated for the top 50 international BNY executives. On top of that, he was recognized 8 times, out of the last 10 years, as the number one producer at BNY Mellon.
Additionally, he was able to raise $2.5 billion in assets under management in the last 10 years, which represents $16.5 million in new annualized fee revenue. With all that said, it’s a clear indication that Culver puts in an extensive amount of hard work to deliver outstanding results.
Outside of work, Culver is a very active member on numerous boards across New York City and has a passion for the arts. He’s served as the President of the Estate Planning Council of New York from 2012 to 2013 and is an active member on the Board of Trustees at Art Horizons. Furthermore, Culver is a board member to both the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art on their Planned Giving Advisory Councils.
